Dear Joshua,

Today is just another day, not some greeting card day full of pink things and flowers. I know you felt bad about us being separated on Valentine's Day, but this is for you, just because you're you.

I love you more than anything. It's corny, but it's the truth. You always show how much you know about me:

•  You put my head into your shoulder when there's a dead animal on the side of the road because you know I can’t stand to see animals suffer.
• You remember that the only chicken I eat is in my Chinese food.
• You know that I hate the color yellow, and that I'm really sensitive about my scars.
• You know that I love to be outside walking, and you do it whenever it's possible.
• You know that I get really obsessed with peanut butter and carrots but never at the same time.
• You know that I love to bake.
•  You know that I burn water, let alone pancakes, and that I can’t cook in general
• You know that I hate doing dishes.
• You know that I don’t sleep, and even though it bothers you, you know that I can’t help it.
• You know that I read as many books as you make baseball references per year.
• You know my Glee obsession and think it’s awesome.
• You know I am terrible at music trivia, and therefore will never beat you.
• You know that I'm terrible at video games, but you still try to help me when we play.
• You picked me to be on your airsoft/ paintball team (Whenever we go) because we would own anyone who played against us.
• You know that I hate being told I "wear the pants in this relationship" because it's an equal partnership.
• You know that I love cats, and want to get me one, even though you despise them.
• You know that I'm moody, blunt, and down right rude when I want to be, but I also love to smile, and laugh and be happy with the people that I love.
• You know that I would rather get dressed up, order take out and watch a dorky movie marathon than go out to a fancy restaurant with stuck up people who can't take a job.
• You know that I hate a lot of derogatory terms that you used to say, and have stopped saying them for my benefit
• You know that I hate pink, and make fun of me whenever I wear it.
• I love that you know what my favorite flower is... and when I first got sick and you went to Seattle you brought me back a bundle of them from the Market just because you knew that I felt bad that I couldn't go, and you knew they'd make me feel better.
• You know how much I love nature, and the first real gift you gave me was a tree silver tree necklace that I wear all the time.

Nobody else will care about these little things, but they all mean a lot to me. You know all of that, and yet you still love me for me, even though I'm goofy, dorky, and just down right weird sometimes.

You mean everything to me:

• I love the way that you make me want to throw something one second and then I'm crying with laughter the next
• I love that you get very expressive when you're talking about something that you love
• I think it's cute when you talk sports and expect me to know what the hell you're talking about- haha (one day I'll know!)
• I love that you are absolutely obsessed with Kurt Cobain
• I love that we have around 6 songs that are "our songs" now, and the list just keeps getting longer
• I think it's hillarious that you hate Courtney Love
• I think it's awesome that you laughed after the Fratelli's guy hit on me
• I love that you aren't jealous, and that we can laugh about the look on that poor guy's face
• I love that anytime I hear John Mayer I think of you- Even while i was in Europe
• I love that you see the beauty in the world through pictures and life
• I think it's cute how much of a dog person you are, and that we've already decided and named our first two dogs.
• I love that fact that you are so humble, but still funny
• I think your eyes are purty (even if they are more grey than cobalt now)
• I love that you've been my best friend for years now, and we have so many inside jokes it's not even funny
• I love that throughout whatever was going on in my life you were there with a hug, and a joke to get me smiling again.
• I love the way you smell... Yes that's a weird statement, but you shmell good! Haha.
• I love that you love coffee, even though I don't like the taste (because it makes the house smell like coffee)

People don't know what we've been through and that's okay. It means a lot to know that after everything we've been through I can look at you and say that I've never loved you more than I do now, and I know that that feeling will only get stronger the longer we're together.
