So about a week ago my parents, Josh and I were talking about things that Josh hasn’t done in Oregon.
So we made two lists:
- a list of things Josh should do in Oregon
- a list of what I should do in Washington
One of the first things that was on Josh’s list was Lincoln City. Luckily enough my mom had been planning on a Lincoln City trip to watch a Lantern lighting for the Children’s Cancer Association and see the street fair that went with it the very next weekend, so we asked Josh to come with us
We left early Saturday afternoon, and arrive around 3-3:30 at Lincoln City (after following a drunk lady for a long time)
When we got there the “street fair” was super small and really not that interesting so we ate at Mo’s while there was still no line. Which is UNHEARD of!
After we ate we tried to go antiquing but al the shops but one were closed. In this shop were a ton of hourglasses and amethyst jewelry etc. that I’m in love with. While there I bought an ecstatic Josh 2 boxes of 800 baseball cards each (because he’s gotten so much done lately he deserved a treat). He was so stoked!
This was the entire case of Star Wars memorabilia that Josh found.
Him with all of his cards
We went to the Chinook Winds Arcade (twice) just to kill time and while we were there we found a photo booth!
These are our favorites!
Then we went to the beach and hung out until we lit the lantern and then we went home. It sounds like a boring day, but all of us had a really fun time :)
My mom’s dad died of lung cancer a year or so before I was born, so we lit the lantern for him.
These are the pictures from my mom’s camera
Our lit and burned lantern… poor thing
Pictures of the fire’s embers SO glad I took these!
Love him <3
My first real Bokeh picture! I’m super proud of it.
He loved this art piece
Thanks for reading everyone.
Lots of love and sandy feet,
Kristen
