So I’ve been toying around with the idea of Josh writing some blog posts when he has time, and I finally asked him. He was very receptive and has written a blog post for you all to read so here it is:
Josh: Made In Oregon
Well Kristen asked me to write an entry for her blog so I figured the last day of my Christmas exodus leave would be the best time to do it. So from the 18th of December till yesterday at 9 PM Eastern Time I went home to my beautiful home town of Portland, Oregon for Christmas to see my family and close friends. Kristen came home the same day as me but just on another flight. Being able to go home for that time will be something I treasure for the next 6 months while I finish my training at Fort Meade. I only wish I could have stayed home longer…I miss my family so much already and wish I could go back sooner but sadly I’m not on my own time anymore.
Being home made me really appreciate what I had when I was home before I left back in July. I have a great family, good friends, an amazing love and a beautiful place to grow up. I love Hillsboro more now than I did before. When I left in July I couldn’t wait to leave now I want more than anything to move back. Oregon has everything I need to be happy. So for the next 6 months I will have visions of Hillsboro in my head and memories of Christmas time fresh in my mind as I head back to the hell hole I call Fort Meade. But no matter what comes my way I will accomplish my goal and keep my head up and keep going no matter what happens so I can win that ticket back home to my beloved Hillsboro.
Katie and Joe I hope school continues to go well for you guys and I can’t wait to come back when you guys get out of school. Audrey and Brittany hoping college goes well for you guys, make sure to stay out of trouble haha. Heather and Stephanie the same goes to you guys thank you for making my trip home just a little more enjoyable I know Kristen really misses you guys. Tim and Amanda I hope the apartment stays good for you guys and Amanda I hope the rest of your freshman year goes well. Mom and Dad I miss you both a ton and hope you guys have a good first have of 2011, I will be home as soon as I can. And finally to my beautiful love Kristen, I love you and thank you so much for going with me to make my Christmas even better than it already was. And most importantly thank you for coming out here with me to make my time in Maryland better as well as keep my sanity intact. And to everyone I love you all and I hope 2011 starts out well for you and I will see you in June J
That was Josh's first blog post, keep checking back for more. I hope you all enjoyed and I’ll be posting some video snippets of Josh and I’s flight back to Maryland. Have a great New Year.
Love. Peace. Happiness.
Josh and Kristen
