Monmouth, Memorial Day and No Job

Hello blog readers,

Heather and I went to Monmouth on Saturday to hang out with Stephanie, and I have to say it was a lot of fun.

We met a few friends of hers (unfortunately no pictures), but they’re so nice! We played card games (Brandon and I were owning for a while, then we both lost- bummer!), got dinner at a 50’s diner, and stayed up until 5:30am! It was a good weekend with good people and I am so glad we went up.

*Note: Stephanie’s sisters Missy and Dana were there and we all (her friends too) had lunch at the Bread Board. OMG the best thin pizza ever!!!*

Here are some pictures from the ride up (I had too much fun to actually take pictures the whole time so these are all I have.

This is the view from the sunroof- e were right in the middle of the rain cloud. Only Oregonians would look up and say you’ve got about 3 minutes of pouring rain ahead of you! Haha

Marilyn did an amazing job straightening Heather’s hair!

Today is Memorial Day so (even though I do this every day) I want to say thank you every serviceman, their family and everyone else who has put their lives in danger for our freedom. Another special thank you to lose who gave their lives for us to keep ours. You were all a special kind of person: the best kind.

On another (less sad) note, I have been job searching like crazy, but haven’t found anything yet. :( It’s really hard not to get disheartened. All I can think about is my car insurance payments are coming up soon, and that I still need to get my stuff shipped back from dad’s house. UGH! Hopefully soon all my good Karma will help me out.

Anyways, I hope you all have a great day and I will talk to you soon,

Kristen
